Athens International Airport S.A. (hereinafter called "AIA") in compliance with the Airport Development Agreement as ratified by Law 2338/1995 (Government Gazette A’202/14.09.95), is inviting experienced companies, group of companies or consortia to tender for the 'Replacement of the baggage handling systems (BHS) automatic barcode reading system' at Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos".

All parties interested in receiving the relevant Tender Documents are invited to participate in the following process:

Applicants are requested to submit a written application (either by letter, fax or email) until 18.10.2012, by 13:00 hours (local time). The written application should carry the indication "Application regarding the Replacement of the BHS Automatic Barcode Reading System" and should be addressed in case of letter to: the Athens International Airport, Procurement Department, for the attention of Mr. K. Papathanassiou, Administration Building (17), 190 19 Spata – Greece, in case of fax to: +30 2103537734 and in case of email to the following email addresses: Papathak@aia.gr and copy to AnagnostouA@aia.gr.

In this application the following information is required:

— name of company making the applicant, address, telephone, fax number and the name of a contact person and his email address;

— the way the applicants are interest in receiving the Tender Documents i.e. either on a CD by courier or via email.

Following the submission of their written application, the applicants will receive a copy on CD by courier or receive a copy by email, as they have requested with their application, in order for them to prepare and submit their Proposals within the time schedule stated under Section IV.3.4. of this Contract Notice i.e. until 29.10.2012, 13:00 hours (local time).

Applicants shall bear the Tender Documents dispatch costs in case of dispatch by courier.

For requirements relating to the economic and financial capacity and/or the technical and/or the professional abilities of the applicant, the latter may where necessary and for a particular contract rely on the capacity of other entities in accordance with the provisions of Article 54 (5) and (6) of Directive 2004/17/EC.

The contract will be subject to Greek law.

The duration indicated under Section II.3 of this Contract Notice reflects the expected period from award of the contract until provisional acceptance. Additional time requirements, including those for the defects liability period, guarantee of spare parts and updates of software, are included in the Tender Documents.

AIA reserves the right not to proceed with the contract at any stage of the tender process.
