The scope of the project consists of the repair of 24.205m2 of friction course on the pavements of the two existing runways at Athens International Airport and includes the provision of all required labour, materials and equipment necessary to complete the finished course, which shall comply with the friction requirements of ICAO. The works shall indicatively include the following:— Rubber deposits removal;— Examination and covering of airfield lighting fixtures;— Removal of existing centreline pavement marking;— Levelling of pavement surface;— Spraying of the surface binder material;— Placement of aggregates in a uniform layer;— Compaction of the aggregates;— Brushing to remove all excessive loose aggregates;— Uncovering of airfield lighting, examination and in case of damage, repair or replacement of the defected light.The awarded contractor will be required to maintain the repaired friction course free from defects for a minimum of 5 years.More details are included in the Tender Documents.950 000

Mouchti, Administration Building (17), 190 19 Spata – Greece, in case of fax to: +30 210 35 37734 and in case of email to the following email addresses: MouchtiE@aia.gr and copy to AnagnostouA@aia.gr In this application the following information is required: — name of company making the applicant, address, telephone, fax number and the name of a contact person and his email address; — the way the applicants are interest in receiving the Tender Documents i.e. either on a CD by courier or via email. Following the submission of their written application, the applicants will receive a copy on CD by courier or receive a copy by email, as they have requested with their application, in order for them to prepare and submit their Proposals within the time schedule stated under Section IV.3.4. of this Contract Notice i.e. until 17/06/2013, 13,00 hours (local time). Applicants shall bear the Tender Documents dispatch costs in case of dispatch by courier. For requirements relating to the economic and financial capacity and/or the technical and/or the professional abilities of the applicant, the latter may where necessary and for a particular contract rely on the capacity of other entities in accordance with the provisions of Article 54 (5) and (6) of Directive 2004/17/EC. The contract will be subject to Greek law. The duration indicated under Section II.3) of this Contract Notice reflects the period scheduled for the repair activities at Athens International Airport. Additional time requirements, including those for the defects liability period, are included in the Tender Documents. AIA reserves the right not to proceed with the contract at any stage of the tender process. Applicants will be asked to prove their financial ability to undertake the project in relation to anticipated contract cost by providing bank references and duly certified audited accounts for each of the previous three [3] financial years.

Τεχνική και επαγγελματική ικανότητα:

Applicants will be asked to provide evidence of experience in friction course replacement projects of similar size and methodology, applied in international airports using identical pavement treatment methodology.

Applicants will be asked to provide a statement of compliance that they will meet the minimum friction values set by ICAO.

Εκτέλεση της σύμβασης
Απαιτούμενες καταθέσεις και εγγυήσεις:

The applicants will be asked to submit, with their proposals, a Participation Bond, to be returned following award of the contract in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Tender Documents. The awarded Contractor

will then submit a Performance Bond, upon signing of the contract. Details and pre-requisites, including the said bonds and other guarantees, will be provided for in the Tender Documents.

In case applicants form and participate in the tender as a group of companies or consortium, they may be requested to either execute a binding consortium consolidation deed or to form a capital company, prior to contract award, with joint and several liability. Participants may lodge an appeal before the Contracting Entity, by specifying the legal and real causes that justify their application within a deadline of ten (10) days, after taking notice in any way whatsoever of the illegal action or omission in the course of the tender. The appeal is communicated, care of the petitioner, to any entity affected by any total or partial acceptance of the appeal. No exercise of appeal versus an act, which accepts in whole or in part an appeal by another person, is required. The Contracting Entity is obliged to decide justifiably, within a deadline of fifteen (15) days from the exercise of the appeal, and, if it renders the appeal valid, it takes the appropriate measures.

If the appeal is rejected, or no decision is taken within the deadline, the appeal is deemed to have been rejected and a petition for injunction may be lodged before the competent Courts as per provisions of Law 3886/2010.
