Detailed Marine Survey of Offshore Pipeline for the EastMed Pipeline Project
IGI-Poseidon S.A.
The survey services (Detailed Marine Survey) are required to supply the necessary high resolution route and geohazards survey data to support the completion of an engineering design program sufficient to support an EPC tender process for construction of the offshore segments of the East Med pipeline system.
The marine system comprises four submarine sections:
(i) source to Cyprus;
(ii) Cyprus to Crete;
(iii) Crete to (mainland) Greece;
(iv) Gulf of Patras crossing.
The interconnection of these four submarine sections involves 5 landfall locations (Cyprus, Crete and 3 no. on mainland Greece).
The DMS program includes survey works on all four offshore segments, plus related nearshore and onshore surveys at the 5 respective landfalls.
The overall length of the offshore route is approximately 1400 km in length, with water depth along the route that reaches approximately 3 000 metres at areas east of Crete.
